Hanover Fly Fishers offers a new location in northern Argentina to fish the Ibera' Marsh for dorado. This fish is a buzzword for light tackle and fly fisherman worldwide. This explosive fighter grows to 50lbs, eats flies readily, and jumps like a tarpon when hooked!
The dorado is a fearsome fish, with jaw pressure capable to crushing any lure; however when fishing with a dorado streamer the single hook slides to the corner of the mouth for an excellent hook-up. These fish strike surface lures with great abandon, late evening fishing with surface poppers is not for the faint hearted!
There is a lodge under construction, scheduled to open in 2007, owned by Danny Lajous and partner Peter Pereirda. The lodge will hold 8 rods per week.
Danny is the owner of the Despedida Lodge and the same professional and user-friendly atmosphere prevails at the Ibera' location.
