| Hanover Fly Fishers organizes yearly
expeditions to Northern Amazonia each January. In order to assure the
success of these trips we have solicited the expertise of Garrett VeneKlasen
who has operated in this region successfully for many years. We select the
river each year after a study of water levels. Our preferred departure
normally is January.
The fish of the region average 3-20 lbs and take flies readily. Our best
log book record is122 fish for 2 anglers in 1 day!
We stay in tented barges . Each barge has a shower, 2 beds, overhead
fans, a vanity sink and camp style toilet. Two anglers share each barge.
We are equipped and ready to move the camp should water levels change in
the river. This maneuver is done while you are fishing and does not impact
your fishing time. |
