Redfish, huge numbers of redfish! Mile after
mile of bayou, sight-fishing this magnificent and fertile area! Several
times a year during their twelve month season, we organize three day
excursions to Louisiana to fish with experienced fly fishing guides. |
| We meet in New Orleans and travel less than
an hour to a small restaurant, motel complex deep in the bayou country. Two
fisherman per boat, we are poled through the marshes in specially designed
craft. Sight-fishing "pods" and singles using crab patterns and spoon flies
that are tied and furnished by your guide. |

Several fish over 30 pounds have been landed! One a 39lb giant that was
caught and released unharmed in Dec. '02 if registered would be the
Louisiana State Record!
You've heard about trips to other states touting numbers and size of
redfish. Louisiana is just scratching the surface on fly fishing for this
